Bhut Jolokia Chocolate has it's origin in the North East India. The name is translated into "Ghost pepper."
Back in 2007 Bhut Jolokia was known as the Wolrd's Hottest Chili. It's more than 400 times hotter than ordinary Tabasco Sauce and Jalapeños.
The flavour is sweet with a hint of smoke similar to chocolate. The heat builds slowly og you should use it sparingly when cooking.
Always use kitchen gloves when working with seeds and chili peppers. They can cause a extreme burning sensation. We are not joking when telling you that Bhut Jolokia chilies have been used in grenades for a long time in India.
If you live in a colder area, you can plant the seeds indoor from february. When the night temperature won't get below 8 degrees celsius, you can move the chili plant into a greenhouse, a sunny porch, or leave them in a windowsill.
To achieve a mind blowing hot Bhut Jolokia Chocolate, the plant needs warmth and lot of sun. However the chili peppers will still get extremely hot in colder areas.
The chili plants can be up to 45-120 cm (18-47 inches) tall and the chili peppers will be between 5-8 cm (1.9 - 3 inches) long.
When ripe the chili peppers will get a chocolate brown colour.
