Scotch Bonnet Orange originates from the Caribbean Islands. It got its name because it resembles the Scottish hat "Tam O 'Shanter." Taste and heat are very similar to a Habanero, but Scotch Bonnet Orange has a sweeter taste.
Scotch Bonnet Orange ripens from light green to orange. It is often used in hot chilli sauce, but can be used in most dishes where you want a hot chili flavor.
The chili ripens relatively late. But you can germinate your seeds indoors from February -March. Then move your chili plants into the greenhouse around mid-June. Scotch Bonnet Orange need lots of warmth and sun.
The Chilli peppers are 2.5 to 4 cm long, and 2.5 to 3 cm wide.
