In the East, it has for centuries been used as an herbal medicine, and Ginkgo Biloba has also several recognized properties. However, don't use your own Ginkgo Biliba wood as herbal medicine. It can be toxic if not used properly.
Ginkgo biloba tree can grow almost anywhere. It is very resistant to pests and diseases, and can withstand heavy pollution in big cities. Ginkgo Biloba is also suitable for use as bonsai tree.
The leaves are light green and heart-shaped but they'll turn yellow in autumn.
It's possible to germinate Ginkgo Biloba indoor throughout the year. Grind the seeds lightly with sandpaper and soak them overnight in lukewarm water.
